Founded in 2020 by Dr. Zachary Gold, PDL aims to enrich children's development and learning through child-directed play experiences. Our mission is to systematically evaluate children's language and behavior during play with blocks and other loose parts building materials to improve play-based education approaches in the classroom and at home.  Explore our website for information on past and current collaborators and projects, and student research opportunities.
